Not exactly sure where to put this. Figured I'd hit up my fellow scribes.

This has nothing to do with comics but I have been asked to write someone's biography.

This is a whole different beast.

Anyone know any decent HOW TO books for biography writing?

Anyone here written one?

I've written a number of feature profiles but never a full fledge biography.

The only real advice I have is to find out what makes that person's lives interesting and then start talking to as many people as possible. I would only quote the person you're writing about rarely if at all.

Scribe has the right idea. You want to tell the story of the person and having their version is usually the least important because we see ourselves differently than others do and will ommit facts on occassion to help make us look good.
