Just received a re-order from Diamond. Pretty decent size, I think it may be one of the largest we've ever had for DWP. So keep asking your shop for this, obviously it's helping!

Naw, it's those wild ass KB pages ...
Maybe I'll get Travis to redo those pages the way the script was written, and not believe everyone who tells me "oh, those are fine. No problem."
Cool on the Re-orders ... :)

The postman mangled my copy again. I got a nice crease on one side.
besides that I have issues with the main story not being inked. It would have set off the great half tone effects perfectly.
That's it keep em coming and congrats. :)

If I can remember, I'll put your next copy inbetween thick cardboard. Or maybe two slabs of metal... we'll see if he can bend THAT! :)

mine got manhandled too, but im okay with it. its a reading copy for me, I figure if i wanted it pristine, i would work out some higher sub rate or something with Ed.

It's nice to know those Stay Flats I'm paying $1.50 each aren't staying flat. Grrrr.
How late can re-orders still be ordered? One of my friends said she'd ask her comic shop, but I'm not sure if re-orders can be ordered for anymore?

Mine came to me in good shape, for a change, as most of the previous issues came to me pretty bent up.

Reorders can be placed until I cancel out the availability of any issue. Technically, #2 can still be reordered. Just last month I received a reorder for 10 copies of #5 (Goon cover). I forgot to cancel that out which is why Diamond sent me a purchase order.
The trick with Diamond, they most likely won't actually place the reorder with me unless there's like a half dozen copies of the same issue. I see shops ordering #25-28, but the total quanities is only like 2 of each so I'll probably never see the actual purchase order for those unless other shops put in reorders.
In a case like DWP #29 (the current issue which is only a week old), if your shop places the order now, it'll get tacked onto the current reorders other shops are doing right now so it'll reach that 6 quanity requirement.
Man, I hope I just didn't confuse you with all this publisher/distributor/retailer babble. Short answer, YES, your shop can still reorder. :p

I only have enough Stay-Flats to last me for the next issue -- so I'm going to start using regular manilla envelopes and pack the books inbetween cardboard (like I do on eBay sales). I haven't heard any complaints about the PO destroying those, so we'll see what happens.

Does Diamond allow you to fill those smaller orders yourself if they are not going to broker the transaction?

When I was a kid, Marvel would send my comics in a brown paper bag sleeve. They never got messed up. I used to get magazines which are larger in size in a plastic bag and they never got bent. But every comic in one of those stay flats gets bent and it's not just you Ed. It's everyone who uses em that I've bought from. I think once the morons at the PO can see what they are delivering they take more care. Because then they have no excuses for man handling the books.
Back when I was a kid, comics got mailed without any protective cover, as-is, with an address sticker on the back cover. Maybe having grown up like that explains why I'm not particular about a comic's condition. :D

My head just exploded. I just received another reorder from Diamond, and this one triples what last week's was. Damn, what's going on?!!
Keep bugging your shop, apparantly it's working because Diamond is placing the orders.

Do they consider THIS new turn of events when considering quotas and stuff?
Which issue(s) are being reordered?

No, reorders aren't counted into quotas. But they do notice them. And when they're large enough, they get the feeling people are asking for them at shops which is in the right direction we want to be.
DWP29 is being reordered. DWP30 can't be until it hits the racks.
