Not only was Toth's lettering cool on its own -- it had a certain "bounce" to it that's just about impossible to replicate in a computer, let alone by hand -- but he also experimented with it.

That is indeed very cool. I have to admit to not being as educated on Toth's stuff as I should be. Everyone posting links to their favorite Toth stuff after his passing is really giving me a crash course on someone I should've been more familiar with. It's great great innovative stuff.

That has to be one on the most innovative ideas I've seen in lettering in a long time. He will be missed.
