The amount of energy that goes into each page is just simply astounding. I envy you.
Hopefully Jocelyn and I will be seeing you in Philly.....

Khoi, why has Marvel or DC not picked you up yet is beyond me. Have you sent them any of this stuff and/or are you going to be attending any of the Cons this summer because I'm certain that the editors will be interested. I would not hesitate to buy this.

Khoi,
Your Moon Knight pages are simply phenomenal. Professional, polished, and dynamic.
Your look here reminds me a bit of Kevin Nowlan's work on MK back in the day.

Did you base the sequence from issue #1 of the new series?

Looks better than Finch's MK. Well done.

Your rendering is fantastic and I love your storytelling; the movement of the car is great.
The pages are great, but what I really like is your storytelling. I took a look at some of your other sequentials and it's there too. The bits like Moonkight's 'batarang' pulling up the windshield shows that you've got what it takes to entertain a reader. It's one thing to be able to render a drawing, it's something else entirely to tell a compelling story.

I like these better than the guy doing the art right now.
His is REALLY not fitted to a moonknight character.
neither is the writing. :yuk:

Dang, Khoi, these are wonderful. Great storytelling and rendering. I don't know if you consciously do it, but if I were inking these, they have about the perfect level of finish in my opinion. Some like tighter, some looser, but these have a great balance of structure, rendering, and freedom for an inker. I don't doubt Marvel is showing interest. Best of luck!

Hey, I remember your Batman \ Spawn samples. I'm glad to see you're back with more artwork, and Moon Knight? Nice choice, and nice work.

These are hot.
I guess my question is - did you work from a script or did you just adapt the MK #1 on your own?
I saw the Spawn/Bats pages- and from this your story telling is alot stronger- you are following thru alot more with shot to shot action.
I'd love to see you go tighter with your pencils (some of the stuff is really sketchy in areas). All in all- good stuff.
Best,
M.

bezelleo: thanks! glad you dig.
wayne: wow, such high praise. i love finch's work, so i'm really flattered, thanks.
hardinart: thanks much!
jimmybott: thanks! i'm working on a couple of things now, so i'll keep you guys posted.
jeffw: then mission accomplished. thanks, jeff!
newage: motion is good. thanks! :D
pony: haha. again, unworthy of such comparison. thanks. :har:
jeremy: how've you been, man? going to any cons this year? anyhow, thanks for the comments. and nothing i do is intentional. :p you rock.
kody: thanks, man. love your work, so much appreciated. :D
bumblejumper: thanks for the support!
panday: thanks, dario! you da man.
lovecraft: thanks! moon knight rocks.
mark: thanks, mark. i worked off a marvel script as my "tryout," so i didn't have the benefit of finch's pages. it was cool to see the published version, though. and yeah, the storytelling's better than the bats one -- always trying to improve. and last yeah, i'm continually trying to tighten up those pencils without losing the motion and life in the sketchier lines. it's a work in progress.
kris: thanks, man. i'll post a link to the high res version later. if i remember. :slap:

I've been very busy this year and unfortunately, I'm not going to any major cons. I had to miss Emerald City due to sickness, too. I'm currently inking Project EON for Markosia and doing other "ghost" inking that I can't talk about. I really enjoyed inking your commissions and wish I had more come my way. When (not if) you are picked up for a book and you have any say in the inker, toss my name out if you're so inclined. With samples like these, I'd be happy to ink you if my schedule permits.
And no sir, you rock.
