Heya.
I, as it says above, am not a goat. But I like goats. In fact, I think they're pretty neat.
And, honestly, I'm a big fan of Naenae's work, so, since you folks took her in, I decided to start looking at what else you've got around these parts.
Of course, I can't draw to save my life, and it's pretty common for people to ignore scripts for books, so I can't really return the favor by sharing my work. I'll keep enjoying yours, though.
Anyway, just saying hey to all the goats. Keep up the good work.
Off I go to finish issue 3.
Cheers!
Devon

Hey Devon! Thanks for stopping by!
I gotta tell ya'... this post brought back some memories for me...
Several years ago I was in the same position as you -- I was a writer with no artistic partners. It was very frustrating because I felt I was at least a pretty decent writer, but as you mentioned, it's hard to get people to look at scripts.
Unlike me at the time, however, it seems as though you're ahead of the game in the sense that you're already participating in an online community of hopeful comic creators.
Think about that for a moment: almost everyone in this virtual community wants to work on comicbooks. :w00t:
That being said, I'm going to give you the same advice an editor I admired once gave me: "If you want to have your work looked at as a writer, you need to find a good artist. That means you may have to pay one as they do work for you. Now it becomes a question of what you want more: a nice DVD collection, the newest video game system, or to create comics."
Something to think about, yeah?
I mean, not to toot my own horn, but I buckled down, started contacting artists and writing scripts they would enjoy drawing that also reflected the best work I could offer as a writer, and *poof* www.NightmareWorld.com (http://www.NightmareWorld.com) was born. ;)
Online is the new small press, my friend. If you want it bad enough, and you have the necessary skill, desire, and motivation, you'll make it happen too. :har:
Good luck, my man. If you are willing to make the necessary sacrifices to do this, you're in for a heck of a journey. I may never be a millionare (or even a thousandaire or hundredaire  ) doing this, but I'm getting to do what I love with a great group of people I'm lucky enough to call friends... and that's something I never would have experienced had I not taken this route in life.
You want to know the best part, though? I'm close to four years in and it's only just beginning...
All tangled-up,
Dirk Manning
