CD Cover WIP

Hey guys,
Here's a CD cover I'm working on.
It's for a singer-songwriter type musician. Mostly acoustic guitar-driven, although the album has some backing musicians on all the songs. The lyrics are pretty intricate, and the songs have kind of a narrative feel to them. They also all feel like autumn. (That influence should be pretty clear)
The title 'Flyover Country' comes from the 2004 presidential election, in which news pundits talked about the South and rural Midwest as being 'flyover country' not worth the candidates' time to actively campaign in.
Here are a couple quick variations. Any crits on the overall look and feel, or ones specific to one of the versions or whatever are much appreciated.

nice work man.

I really like the first version the best. The linework/boxes just muddle the composition (that sounded like I knew what I was talking about, huh?).

I see no faults with the design.

Thanks everybody! Sorry I haven't replied earlier; I'm working on the other pages (and moving apartments... hassle!) We settled on the type in #1 with some slight refinement of the imagery. I'll put up all the other pages as I get them finished.

OK so here's everything pretty much at its finished point. I have to add some copyright junk to the back, and the space for the UPC code, but other than that, I'm ready to stick a fork in it.

(haha you'll notice I goofed on the title in the first draft. I had understood the title to be 'Flyover Country' when it's really just 'Flyover'... The reasoning's the same, but it is a silly mistake... ::sigh::)
