hi, maybe some of you are familiar with me, maybe not. but i make flash cartoons which parody the marvel universe over at my site: www.freezecartoons.tk

im not like your typical artist who showcases stuff in the art forums cause i guess to most people i really suck at drawing lol. as crazy as it sounds i am actually being paid to do some work(toons & art) over at captainsensation.com

but im proud of the work i do and have my own unique style. here are some samples of my work and please visit the site, tell me what u think. hopefully my cartoons will make u laugh like they have so many comic-people already

I want to be encouraging, you say you have your own unique style, hardly it reminds me of a poorly drawn version of the art used in the vide game Parappa the rapper. Drawing poorly can hardly be considered a style, thats like saying i draw stick figures but im unique.

Also watching the flash animations were rediculous, not only did they seemingly have nothing to do with anything but any of them could have been recreated with any charcter. all your doing is using someone elses creations to try and make yourself money (all be it in a round about way) .

Im sure many wont agree with me and think im being an ass, but i just call it as i see it, and i see crap.

good luck, and keep drawing maybee one day you will make something thats your own.

At first I thought Warlander was just being a duesche because I kinda liked the bad art work that you posted but the flash animations are ridiculously bad, all you did was scribble on painter and make up really weird stories... They aren't even wierd funny!! Sorry man but I have to second warlander on the flash thing. The cartoony thing you maybe could pull off but you still need to refine it.

these are just fan-fiction. im getting paid to make stuff for a character that somebody else OWNS.
i can understand you think you these are poorly drawn crap, cause they are. but some people like them.

i have always been awful artist and always will be but my cartoons have gotten much better. watch episode 1 of spidey and then go watch the punisher cartoon to see the difference. im getting much better.
even negative criticism from u guys is appreciated

Instead of being completely negative,

why not throw something up that will help him get better?

If I knew animation, I would most definately take the time to explain some things that'd help him,

before just reaming him and leaving.

I LOVED your punisher animation..all of the Frank Castle monologe stuff is great! Expecially the intro LMAO. I didn't have time to check out the other ones. I think your cartooning has a child like charm to it and I really enjoy it as well.You're not trying to be something you're not,you're just you. While everyone else on these boards are reading about how to draw...you're just doing it and theres something intriguing/humorous about the acceptance and application of your skills.

Don't ever get down on yourself. You should be completey arrogant about your work-it would be a great marketing tool. You should be like F*** You. I draw better than you...the end. Point. Blank. Period. You could get in draw offs with people who spend weeks trying to emilate Alex Ross paintings or Jim Lee double page spreads. They would post their blood sweat and tears...and you a 30 second doodle with a hefty F*** YOU scribbled below it.LMAO. The Spidey No. 1 where he is smoking made me laugh a lot. Especially the end.

The Punisher animation is accomplished, and shows you are really picking up on the animation front.

I like 'em, man. Honestly, I think it's fun. That's what it should be.

I'll leave any crits for people who know flash and leave you be since anatomy and realism aren;t your aim. very impressed with myself on this piece as lately ive been submitting stuff ive re-done of other artists` work (Michael Turner/Civil War). usually when i have an idea for a really cool original piece it never turns out good but this was an exception.
i even spent around 3 hours or more on this piece, i wasnt really paying attention to time but it was a lot!

in a way thats what im going for. im not trying to be perfect, im trying to create things that just look.......cool. peepl moan like "oh he he has no nose". well, he doesnt have any knees, toes, elbows, fingers etc etc.
its a shame about that might avengers piece because iron man rocks on it but the other characters i drew on it really let him down. i dont like Wonder Man anyways i think he is lame. i also cant draw women very well and i think the new armour they gave Ares sucks. i guess i could go back and just make that into some kind of iron man piece.

i also went back and made some changes to that ghost rider piece. even adding some heat effects with my amazing photoshop skills (i dont have any).

This reminds me of an idea I had, as a sort of joke I was going to do some 2D stick figures and walk around a comic convention acting serious about them when I showed them to editors and artists...

Im usually pretty bad at drawing women. the ony time i ever truly succeeded was when i drew she hulk a while back (where she is sat on a bench) but that was based on an image drawn by someone else. so, im pretty happy with the way this turned out. i`d recently been reading "yakuza moon" (memoirs of a yakuzas daughter) and it in some ways inspired this piece.

These are amazing don't change a thing.They have a childlike charm about them. I think its high level cartooning.Dont ever pick up an anatomy book it would kill everything your doing.Your work has more heart and soul than alot of people who do perfect anatomy but produce souless work.

When I first saw your work I didn't know what to think. Let me tell you, it is an example of someone who enjoys what they do. Drawing is an instrument, you can practice scales your whole life and WORK a melody, but only the TRUE artist knows how to PLAY it. It is really all a real artist has time for. It doesn't matter what you play, it only matters how you play it.

im usually the first person to say that my drawings are bad, because they certainly arent good :happy: . i actually cant draw noses, ears and often joints. well maybe i can but im never happy when i do. however, i think this lead me to where i am now where i try not to draw too much of whats expected and more of what i think looks good. i honestly think if i went back and gave everyone ears and noses that my drawings would look terrible.

i dont mind if people think im not good at drawing, so long as they understand im my own artist and i enjoy what i do. and if people enjoy them, thats even more rewarding. so thank you for your comments (^_^)b

regarding the websites, they are all gone. back from a time when my drawings were absolutely terrible! lol. they wont be coming back anytime soon either though, which i honestly think is a good thing :p

I'm talking about the thick line you draw around your characters.You can find markers for coloring in almost any color you can imagine in art stores.I believe people would pay for these dont sell yourself short.Draw a few and put them on ebay and see what happens. :happy:

i`ve actually been designing some things for a clothing line i was going to create with a friend. well of course, id be doing all the designing lol. just some t shirt designs really, but i havent shown any of them on here. i`ll let you guys know how it goes! (^_^)b

Drew the image in firstly with pencil and am currently highlighting all of those lines. In the process, i`ve realised that i dont really have many of the colours i will need to make this painting look good so im gonna have to buy some new paints and a new brush for fine detail.

i think for now, its not very impressive at all but once its finished it will look sweet :D

You should sign your stuff FREEZE. It is a perfect label for your work. Like a cop who points his gun and is going to shoot you unless you listen to him. His way or no way. Plus, it's ripe for gimmick, for example; Is the juice Worth the FREEZE?

For some reason, i have always thought that Karl Lagerfeld looks like Megatron.
Maybe im crazy but seriously, there is some resemblance there im telling you!!!!

Completely forgot about this! Came across the file in my art folder today and decided to finish it off. Working on it again made me think i might start a return to my more cutesy drawing style for a while :D Why is the background so crap though? Well actually this isnt entirely over. It`s just a small part of the bigger picture. The finished piece will include other Avengers members :D

Seeing as how im putting together the Avengers ( see above post ;D), i decided to unveil the design for Thor. He wont look like this in the group pic. In fact he will look kinda boring but for the sake of giving him his own single image, i jazzed it up to look like Ultimates 2 #5.

ok so this is where im at so far. Ive decided to start running through things in an a to z method. That explains why ive started with characters like A-bomb, Apocalypse and Abomination so early. The placement of them is not a final thing either. Obviously i dont want to have A-bomb in the center of the piece :p.

Just in case i completely lost you on some of these drawings (im not perfect). here is a roster list so far:

So from now on, when i have a couple more characters added. Ill put them up on this dandy little chart. From the amount of characters there are in Marvel`s character library i think yuo can guess that this sheet will get bigger and bigger as time progresses but just to fill this many boxes is sure to take some time. I think its a nice way of teasing the final piece dont you think?

Some notes:
- I will not use EVERY character in the Marvel Character database. Thats just crazy!!!
- New characters added will now not be in alphabetical order. So maybe it can be kinda surprising this way :D

So i tried to submit one of my designs to Threadless and............yep, failed. Well, Threadless has some amazing designs and i mean, i cant even come close to what some of the people on there can do but seriously on the other hand they have some ugly stuff too that actually scored high enough to become a selling item. Anyway, here was my entry. Originally it had text saying "where do you want to go tomorrow?" but now that my entry was a failure, ill just post it up here with my sig/logo instead.

Those avengers are dope. Reminds me of a video game character selection screen. You should make a video game "Castle Crashers" style (Behemoth.com). You should also submit some lego designs or something dood. I don't know, if these were toys It would totally resurrect my imagination. Diggin the logo.

Drawing poorly can hardly be considered a style, thats like saying i draw stick figures but im unique.

Explodingdog.com is stick figures but they are very good stick figures with a lot of emotion. Drawing poorly isn't a style but drawing simply can be.

im gonna go back into it and fill in the details in the backgrounds of course. I want there to be a Japanese feel to it. Not so much a cultural feel, but more like things which really represent the Japan of today like the "lawsons" comvenience store and the "Gasto" restaurant in the background. Living in Yokohama, these are the kind of things i see in a modern Japan, a consumer society.
Anyway, i hope you like the progress so far. Im not sure, but i think my lacking ability to convey emotion in my drawings might hurt the telling of my story. But then again, im not a storyteller either really. I just have a story that i made and really want to be the one to tell it :).

Easily the most epic thing i have ever drawn

Each character took about 30-40 minutes to draw and smooth out. Then i probably spent about 20 minutes adding effects and the logo.
phew!

...i alos decided to only go with the original World Warriors (plus Akuma) because otherwise it would get a bit out of hand if i had tried to add alpha, III etc. :s

Im thinking these are probably gonna be my last posts in here. It seems that as ive been developing my art, ive really started to move away from comic book artwork. I guess thats a good thing though because it means im no longer being restricted by inabilities. Im even starting to use photoshop in order to really enhance my art. I guess that if i want to become successful some day then i need to make that jump to add an extra dimension to my artwork.
