I think I figured out why I like your stuff so much. It's classic comic artistry. A little Byrne, BWS, and Neal Adams. It reminds me of the stuff that brought me to comics in the first place. This stuff is simply amazing. It's dynamic and it conveys the characters perfectly. I love your 4th world and Solar stuff. Classic.

[Your work is. . .] a little Byrne, BWS, and Neal Adams. It's dynamic and it conveys the characters perfectly.

Hmm...sorry, the name MegaStar ain't catching with me. Nightstar was perfectly fine. Sometimes I think you chop and change a little bit too often (name and costume for example). Sometimes it's best to stick with what you have and go from there. I don't think this is a good idea at all, and that new name really doesn't work for me. Sorry mate, but I was a fan of Nightstar as he was.

I definitely chop and change a little too often somtimes, you're right about that. This is really just an evolution of the character, Frank. I don't want to bury Anthony's thread with my own stuff, but I'll show you what I have when it's finalized and hopefully it'll change your mind.

Hey, Jack of Hearts. I always liked the look of the character. My request would be for Sunfire in his original costume. I always dug the look of that uniform too. Everything is looking top-notch, Anthony. My only complaint would be the positioning of Hulk's feet in that sketch. Something looks slightly off/awkward about them.

Hey Mac, firstly I need to apologise to you. To tell you the truth i've never even bothered to look at your thread all this while... not because i have no interest in your work but simply because i've overlooked the brilliance of your art. For this I must apologise again. I happened to bump onto this thread by accident really... and when i opened up the first page i thought for a moment John Byrne and Jerry Ordway has join the ranks of DW...cool. Not that i'm dissappointed after i realised it's not.... I just can't imagine how someone can naturally draw like this... i mean i grew up living and breathing Bryne and Ordway, and it's because of greats like them that i'm drawing comics. Man, you really brought back those feelings in me again. I mean, i used to draw exactly like Byrne but somehow over the years the effects wore off and I draw like somebody else now :whistlin: . Isn't it great to be inspired... get jealous and try to do better?
You're giving me that... and I'm raring to do better than what i've done today.
Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the great work.
PS - your work rate is also amazing btw... ;)

And Bob was my editor in chief back in the VALIANT days and

The amazing thing is the actual art for the piece is just a sketch.
