For a Mac G4 AGP graphics what are the ideal software apps for good art.
I'll be doing line art scanned for color.
I've got early versions of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (7 and 4 respectively).
Any help will be appreciated and given an appropriate amount of ceremonious drooling.

Really depends what you need it for. G4's the tube, right? If so I had one with Photoshop CS 1 on t working fine (mostly). The only issue I had with that was the memory as if I was using PS, then I had to shut down everything else or the machine would run really slow.
