Boriquén: An Anthology for Puerto Rico
In mid-September 2017, the island of Puerto Rico was ravaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The devastation wrought was unlike anything seen before. What was once a lush, green land has been denuded by high winds. Flooding, especially in the areas near the Guajataca Dam, has made entire neighborhoods uninhabitable. Electricity is only available via generator, and fuel for those generators is scarce. Food and potable water is in short supply. Compounding these challenges with a decade-long recession means that recovery efforts on the island will take years.

It is with these circumstances in mind that I call on the comics community to come together, as it has in the past, to help. Boriquén will be an anthology about Puerto Rico, its people, its history, and the perseverance shown in the face of such destruction. The goal is to raise funds to help the people of Puerto Rico. All proceeds will be donated to an appropriate charity, to be named soon.
