View Full Version : Writer Looking for Artist for Military Action/Thriller Graphic Novel

09-27-2017, 07:13 PM

I am a writer who is looking for a sequential artist (preferably digital) to team up with to work together to create a graphic novel/limited comic series (U.S. military action-thriller) entitled:

"PARRIS ISLAND: We Make Marines"

After being stranded on evacuated Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina during a full-force hurricane, Recruit Eric "Strikeout" Mays and several of his fellow recruits must band together to defeat their homicidal and insane Drill Instructor Gunnery Sergeant "The Gunny" Beckert during the violent storm.

I had concept art created a few years ago and I am bringing the project to the forefront of my project queue (I'm in the process of readying a TV series to pitch soon) and would like to revisit this project.

The project could potentially span two additional volumes (three in total) if well received:

PARRIS ISLAND Part II:In the Cradle of Civilization
PARRIS ISLAND Part III: At the Graveyard of Empires

The whole story is mapped out from the first volume to the end of third, will a possibility of more after the main character Eric "Strikeout" Mays after this trilogy concludes.

I'd like to initially create a 6-page sample and submit to Image Comics, etc. but we can discuss how best to proceed. I'm open to suggestions and alternative arrangements.
