The spotted blacks are really off putting, no real consistant light direction.

Plus I feel hulks head is too big.

rethink those little black spots - Sevans is right, choose a light source

question....when you see someone, from as far away as the hulk it so the picture plane, do you see all their teeth? I was once told that I get lost in the details....

From that kind of range, it's really unlikely to catch minute detail such as individual teeth; more like a solid whitish are with maybe a couple of little lines as indicators.

Yeah, Hulk's pants are way too busy on all three visible sides; if those are meant to be shadows, definitely pick one strong light source and render your shadows accordingly. Good little trick is if you have a wooden art mannequin (or even an action figure), just position them in conjuction with a single light source and then draw just the simplest form of the model in question, paying close attention to where and how the shadows play off the form in general.

Same thing would go with Spidey; it's likely he and the Hulk are sharing the same light source, so the bulk of the light would fall on ol' Webhead and he would, in turn, be casting shadows on the Hulk.

It's all in the details, man. That's where the Devil likes to play...
