Seeking an artist to work on a new graphic novel. You will be creating original art based on the screenplay Transcarlet by biomechanical artist James Ross. The work will be in black and white, a colorist has already been hired. Transcarlet is a post-apocalyptic, high concept love story set in the distant future. The screenplay has been a semi-finalist with ScreenCraft in both 2015 and 16. Hired artist will receive access to the script as well as conceptual art and models. I prefer to work with digital artist but will consider all portfolios. Files must be submitted as PDF at 600 dpi. The novel should fall between 90 to 110 pages. The project window is around ten months to completion. Ten pages per month on the average. This is less than half of the industry standard. I prefer right than rushed.
Rate will be $60.00 per page. Payments will be made each month via PayPal. Hired artist will be required to sign a NDA.
Artist outside of the US need to be proficient in English or Spanish. Submitted portfolios will be narrowed down to around 3 or 4 artist. These selected artist will design a sample page and character design sheet. The project artist will be hired from one of these finalist.
