MOROCHEY (http://morochey.blogspot.com) -- Ancient culture & modern reality clash. A secret war rages in the shadows.

The traditions of ancient Morochey magic are slipping away from the post-war, modern world. The once-sacred Crystal Arts are being used by prize-fighters in immensely popular brawling tournaments that would make the elders roll over in their graves.

Two broke ex-Morochey struggle to balance their ancient culture with their modern reality, after stumbling upon a chance to be sponsored in the tournaments. Little do they know that, in doing so, they'll be drawn into a secret war that spans the whole world.

MOROCHEY is a comic that I've been working on for several years. I've been writing and rewriting the story since I can remember, and I have 80+ pages up on my site as of this writing.

The problem? I want to re-release it. WHY would I want to re-release it, after having come farther than ever with its story?

For one, there are some really glaring readability issues. Like this page.

The art is OK, and I'll be keeping it, but holy cow that text is tiny!

For another, the only thing consistent about my update schedule is that it sucks.

That's the last page I posted. It was on THE FOURTH OF JULY in 2016!

Finally, I simply don't have that many readers. And the ones I do have hardly interact by way of comments, fan art, etc. That's a real bummer when I think about the pages I'm proud of, like these, not getting any eyeballs pointed at them.

So what's my plan? Well. I want to re-release MOROCHEY, but I'm not sure how to do it. I've thought of reverting all my old posts to drafts, essentially erasing them, and replacing them with new versions of the comic. That might be less confusing to new readers, but irritating to what readers I already have.

I've also considered simply posting the new versions, one after another, and leaving the old versions as they were. This would require creating an entirely new Chapters page, as well, to accommodate the new links. It might be confusing to new readers who dare to click "Back" on the first page, but for curious readers who would like to see the originals, it could be helpful.

Whichever reboot method I go with, my main goal is to do the following.

1) Update Consistently

2) Sign each page with the comic's title, instead of my old Merry Lurker pseudonym

3) Fix glaring readability and consistency issues in the early comics

If anyone has some advice on how to make this whole process easier, or an opinion on which reboot method I should go with, I would be happy to hear your thoughts!

I've decided on a release date & strategy for MOROCHEY! I'm very close to finishing the revisions to the comic, and I believe I can have them done by next month. I'm going all the way, and planning to update daily-- something that I've never done before. However, I've also allowed myself time between seasons to build a suitable buffer, in order to pull this off.
