This is a great post. It goes to show how comics, as a medium, can be simple, short and yet effectively deliver a message, connect with readers emotionally and bring strangers together.

I am saddened by your loss and offer my condolences. I would like to say that all hope is not lost and your father lives on in you and now, I would like to think he is immortalized in your comic. Thank you for sharing your story.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I hope to work on some lighter stuff real soon. Interesting observation Encheedraws because it was my fathers old doodles in the thumb space of his school textbooks and his childhood comic collection that inspired me to draw in the first place.

That part where you asked your dad if he communicate in the afterlife reminded me of this comic. http://www.smbc-comics.com/?id=3088

Death is difficult and there is not a time limit for grieving. I hope writing and drawing this was cathartic for you.

Michael that comic was nice. Honestly ...I didn't expect this strip to be too cathartic but it actually was. I actually executed it quickly and emotionally frustrated but it chilled me out.
