Hi, guys,

I'm working on a pet project of mine and I'm considering different types of fonts for different types of characters.
One of the fonts I'm leaning toward is Short Hand and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it: is it good, bad, "stay away from it, it's the comic sans of the XXI century", lemme know.
Here's a random sample to test the waters, don't laugh, I realise the ellipse balloon is a classic newbie mistake and there's not much room for the text to breathe :) :

I probably wouldn't normally pick that font myself, but not because there's anything wrong with it. My tendency is to use more "normal" fonts for dialog, and save the fonts with some shape to them for sound-effects or computer voices or a ghostly/god-like presence or something.

Looks more like a narration box font.

Looks liek you want Might Makes Right or a Jack Armstrong font from Blambot.

Those tails need some help. Im not sure who they are pointing too.

You could probably get away with it in a small press book, but I think the readers would rather see something more suited to comics. I'm intrigued by those balloon tails, BTW. I'm not even sure where they're pointing...and not sure why they're kinda twisted together. Also, where they connect to the balloon is pretty awkward. I like the twisty shape, tho'.
