Hi, y'all! Black Ship Books (http://www.blackshipbooks.com) has just released Spark, our first flash fiction anthology, on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Spark-Flash-Fiction-Anthology-Friday-ebook/dp/B01IDDXR7I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468415923&sr=8-1) for Kindle, and we're working on getting print-on-demand set up with Createspace. The book is comprised of what we felt were the best of the stories submitted in response to our weekly Flash Fiction Friday prompts (http://www.flashfictionfriday.com), along with some never-before-seen material from our extended writing family.

We encourage you to start taking a look at our prompts, and if you feel so inclined, contribute a story when you can! We hope to be doing more anthologies like this in the future, probably with a tighter thematic focus.

Here's our obligatory back-of-the-cover blurb for Spark:

Bringing together 34 flash fiction stories from 14 authors, SPARK offers a host of stories to thrill, move, and challenge fans of short-short fiction. A woman physically at war with her mother's legacy inside her own body, a young girl given a vision of a utopic past at the end of the world, a man psychically bonded to the living weapon for which he is the failsafe, a harem of "female" androids newly capable of questioning their subservient status—these are a few of the characters you'll meet on a flash fiction tour stretching from the mundane to the transcendent, from suburban homes and public parks to a desolate world light-years from Earth. The stories in SPARK transcend the boundaries of genre and strain at the limits of their diminutive word count. The stories may be short, but the mental fires they will ignite are anything but small.

Evan - a huge thank you to you and Joyce for making this happen. I am beyond excited that my name is in an actual book!

And to all the DWers - please buy and read it. There are some really great stories in there (as well as 4 of mine!), all of which will carry you away to somewhere new.
