Wow! Really cool. Was that colored digitally or water color by hand? It looks seamless...hard to tell! :kewl:

Good job with the expressions. I like that you changed the angle of the view point ^-^

Thanks for kind commends! Can I recommend "The artist's complete guide to facial expression" by Gary Faigin. Cheat sheet at the back is very useful.

PS I use a hybrid traditional/digital workflow. Pencil and bristol board, watercolour and corrections on computer.

I modelled the snowflake in 3D and did the rest by hand ... but modelling and posing whole characters in 3D didn't really work.

I'm not familiar with digital workflow but the latter I have a clue. So basically you did it on bristol board and also slapped the watercolor then scanned into computer? Basically that's what I do too. But your is more cleaner and look really bright. I'm old school so I only know the old process. :har:

I can only surmised that you paste the 3D piece and draw around it...is that what you did?

After many hours of experimentation I decided to simply model stuff in 3D, print out and trace. But I am thinking of using "toon" outlines for my forthcoming space station. Advantages: one model, many (accurate) perspectives. Disadvantages: 3d modelling is painful.

The sinister "Spanish Lady" manifests. Another soul is about to be dragged into The Darkness.
