05-17-2016, 01:29 PM
Double Take Comics/Take-Two Interactive seeks a professional comic penciller/storyboard artist to lay out comic pages. We pay highly competitive page rates. You will play a key role on a storytelling team creating some of the industry’s best comics, see, e.g. www.doubletakeuniverse.com/episode/medic-2-undead-on-arrival.

You must be able to visit our midtown Manhattan office to participate in writing-room sessions.

Please send a cover letter, resume, your page rate, and either: a PDF of your portfolio and/or a link to your online portfolio to DoubleTakeSubmissions@take2games.com, and address the email and cover letter to the Hiring Manager, Lillian Tan.

Here are the nuts and bolts:

Layouts - up to $100 per traditional comic page, or up to $2,000 per issue (negotiable based on skill)

Pencils - up to $200 per traditional comic page, or up to $4,000 per issue (negotiable based on skill)

We pay typically through our parent company’s Accounts Payable on net 30 terms. All freelancers must submit an invoice to receive payment after work is approved. Double Take is flexible as to how frequently the freelancer wants to invoice: either in stages during production or at once after the project.

Work is “approved” when the artist makes all requested adjustments and edits to the layouts/pencils and delivers to us the final version in a hi-resolution TIFF file, so the art can move to the next stage of production (e.g., colors).
