Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I posted in here. I stepped back from my full lettering load while I went back to to school (Got me a fancy smancy advanced diploma in 3D Animation, Art and Design). During that time I worked on a few books, mainly ones I had committed to before I decided to go back to school or ones where the deal/project was too good to turn down. A lot of my work has also moved over to digital first stuff, (mainly self publishing through Comixology), Which I've found in some cases more rewarding than the work I used to do before. I'm still trying to work a pipeline down to allow as little conversion as possible when creating proper CMYK and RGB files, but so far it's a pain in the arse.

Anyways, I wanted to throw links to my updated portfolio here for some critiques.

Low Rez PDF (dstinct.com/downloads/comicsportfolio/josh_aitken_comicport_lr.pdf) (8mb)
Hi Rez PDF (dstinct.com/downloads/comicsportfolio/josh_aitken_comicport_hr.pdf) (15mb)

I poked my head in here to read from time to time, but it seems like this place has become a ghost town compared to when I was more active a few years ago. Hopefully it's just because everyone is busier.

Thanks for any feedback.

Josh

You obviously seem to know what you're doing, nice job. Some balloons seems kinda tight, but overall, nicely done.

Thanks Kurt.

Tight balloons is one of the issues I'm constantly working on. Some of the pages are a few years old, but it's something I'm always keeping an eye out for.
