Oh wow I hadn't heard about Paul Bettany playing Vision. I did hear this week that Scarlett Johansson is 5 months pregnant so I'm not sure how that's going to affect their filming schedule which is set to begin next month.

I hope they can get her in after she has the baby for some scenes, I really did like her in the first one. She looks good in the Cap movie as well.

Definitely, I can't wait to see the new Cap movie. Not paying attention to spoilers but just getting people's early impressions from it they've been incredibly positive.

As for Black Widow, apparently Scarlett's pregnancy won't affect the schedule according to an interview she recently did with Huffington Post.

""Everything for Avengers 2 -- we're full steam ahead. We start shooting in three weeks and I'm stunt training and we're good to go. You know, I think it's something that is [laughing] hard to talk about, exactly. You know, trying to skirt around your question exactly [laughs] -- and, you know, doing a poor job of it. But, you know, like I said, everything is exactly on schedule….[Laughs] Everything is going just fine. The Black Widow always wins and will continue to.""

Hopefully, because right now he looks like a frat boy with an Underarmor fetish.

what I don't get is how or why blackwidow or hawkeyed are in the avengers 2 still with no powers.

Their practically worthless...especially with all this new meta human popping around.

Hawkeye doesn't even have a cybernetic eye...or anything that could set him apart....or blackwidow with some sort of meager version of the captain america's serum. Beyond 2 if their even around they will be just in the way...

Well that's where suspension of disbelief comes in. If you are going to believe in Norse gods and Hulks and Super Soldiers you might as well believe that normal humans can do extraordinary things and be assets to the group and not get hurt. If you can't swallow that you shouldn't watch movies like this because these things don't happen in the real world.

that's troubling.

Shouldn't be. I don't think they'd ever be able to recapture the magic of seeing all these characters onscreen together again. The second is a worthy sequel. I have a few nitpicks, but it was a load of fun. Seeing it again tomorrow.

giant meaningless commercial for audi and other products including setups for Thor 3 , Cap 3 and Infinity wars or GOTG 2. The lame story was just justification for the CGI battles.

Moonrider
05-05-2015, 09:31 AM
Is it just me or does James Spader would have been a far superior Doctor Doom than as Ultron? Try closing your eyes during his scenes, you might understand why I'm saying this. His smug, cynical voice and often times childish tantrum is closer to how Victor Von Doom would talk. Ultron's robot legions and the Eastern Europe setting of the final showdown also all just screams Latveria and Doombots.

It was a fun movie. Not perfect, but loads of fun. I've seen it 3 times now and it hasn't gotten old yet.

Rob Norton
05-07-2015, 07:51 PM
Not perfect,

is ANY movie perfect? I see reviewers everywhere use this phrase and it always bugs me. no movie is perfect.. only thing that counts was "did it entertain you?" as it obviously did. sure did for me.

but nothings perfect and never will be....

this isn't directed specifically at you Bishop, you just gave me a reason to say something I have been thinking for a bit now...

I get what you're saying, and I agree. What I meant was there was one or two things that really irked me, but overall it was a really fun movie. The things that irked me are fanboy things that aren't even that big a deal.

Didn't rip the flick just stated my opinion. if that offends you, so what. It wasn't a well done movie. The first Avengers was well paced well done and just looked better this was all over the place. You can tell there was a whole lot of stuff going on in the background with Marvel and Whedon. And Whedon has admitted to this. Maybe why he was fired from Disney. I don't care for Pat movies. if you don't know what that means think on this. Ultron appears Ok, Vision appears, OK whatever happens, OK. the movie was too packed so when ever something big happened it was like, OK. Kinda like in Family guy how stewie sometimes question all the crap that happen's in the show and how everyone just ignores it or acts like it didn't happen. The whole opening sequence was stupid. it was basically a badder version of the tracking fight in Manhatten, as the camera followed one character to another. Whether it was Whedon or the suits at Disney, doesn't matter the movie just wasn't interesting. hell even my kid who loved almost all the marvel movies wanted to leave the Theater after the hulkbuster brawl. I base whether a movie is doing it's job by how long before i look at my watch. Took a half hour.
