Hey guys, so... here's something I did recently for a project I'm working on with some friends. The original sketch was by my friend Abby, and I did the inks.
It was initially a much larger resolution, I just sized it down for the web. Let me know what you guys think.

It look very nice. Very cartoon.

I really like it.

Thanks! Yeah, that's the style we're going for. :)

Some line variation will give the character better depth without loosing the initial idea you had.

I did try to add a bit of subtle line variation in there... as well as the gradually thicker lines around her gun (which I was attempting to use to accent the foreshortening)

Although, looking at it now, I suppose the lines are mostly uniform in width... Perhaps next time I'll try some less subtle variation. Thanks for the tip! :)

I decided to re-do this image, and try to get it to look a little cleaner than the original, and add in a bit more detail, while still keeping it cartoony.

Here's the re-worked version, let me know what you guys think.

Gives it a bit more substance.

Look up 'Negative Space' drawing.
It's a fancy way of saying that you're drawing the outline really, but the use of line variation can really add a punch to images .
