Been a long while again. Lots of cool things goin on. Been working a lot lately. Some for Big Dog Ink and now for First comics. I'll post some of that stuff as soon as I get the ok to do so. In the mean time, here are some other fun thing I've done just for me. A few recreations and sample pages. Let me know what you think.

Hi Vic. Would like to see some comparison pieces from pencils to your finished work here. Everything looks very nice, but I like to examine the comparisons to see how you interpret things.

Bright-Raven, sorry about not posting the pencils but the flash drive that I had them stored on was corrupted and I lost everything. But if I find the pencils again I will be sure to post them.

You set before us a visual feast. Long shall I dine on what is before me.

The inking on the Swamp Thing cover recreation features some heavy inking, but it isn't over-heated with intensity, as was the case with another recent inking that I came across in the forum here.

Here, my eyes can rest, and soak in the scene and the scenery. It's just a beautiful, relaxing caress of the eyes. All that black ink in certain places on the canvas, it's a sight for sore eyes.

None of the images or the inking look bad. But, it's the Silver Surfer who glories in your power of your inking prowess. He's gorgeous, so visually delicious to sit and consume. You capture his essence with your inking, I think. He comes alive at your hand.

The Silver Surfer is fluid, yet imbued with substance. He exists, because of the pencils. He lives, because of you, your inks working visual magic upon him.

It's just delightful to encounter work such as what you bring to this herald.

The rest of the pages are fine. They are simply overshadowed by the grandiose visuals that you treat us to with the Silver Surfer. Truly, these are some good examples of why I love inked work, so.

Hey all, here is a page I did from Ursa Minor Ongoing issue 1. Pencils by the ever impressive, Ian Snyder. Again, I lost all my pencil scan files but here are the inks.

This is a spread from issue one of Ursa Minor.
Pencils - Ian Snyder
Inks - me

Inked with Pentel Pocket Brush Pen and Copic Multiliners

Now this will be the last one I post without pencils to do a side by side comparison. I have some really cool stuff to show but have to wait for the books to hit shelves before I can share the art. So see you soon and as always, thanks fer lookin!

C+C welcomed and appreciated.

Here are some inks I did over the awesome Canaan White. This is a pin up we did for the upcoming Red Riding Hood book coming soon from First! Comics. You might recall that this is the title that is featuring the art of the First Comics talent search winners. It's gonna be a doozey. I'm just glad I could contribute the inks for this pin up and the cover to the #1 issue over Rudy Vasquez.

The master Mark Silvestri pencils and my meager inks. This one was a doozy!

Have you ever contacted Marc to see if you could ink his stuff?

Not yet. But that would be a dream come true.
