Inking sample I did for the Dark Horse book Never Ending. First time doing any type of inking.

THIS is the first time trying inking?!?

i wish the pages were bigger to see some detail better, but id say it look pretty damn good. wow

The things that stick out to me are
1) the crosshatching in panel #1.
It goes from solid black to crosshatching with no gradation.
There should be a smoother transition

2) The wires. They are far more realistic than every thing else, so they really stick out.

I completely agree with the crosshatching. After looking at it again there certainly is no smooth transition with the crosshatching.

In regards to the hoses I guess it's personal preference. The artist that gave me the tryout (Robert Love) liked the added texture.

Yes. The inks are digital. Done in Manga Studio with a Cintiq 18sx.

Excellent work, you kept the clean look of the pencil work but still added some great touches to make it pop without overdoing it.
