Has anyone seen this movie on Crackle yet? I'm seeing it promoted all over the place. But want to hear thoughts on whether or not I should watch or skip. The trailer doesn't really push me in the right direction, but I'm a sucker for martial arts.

Yeah, that trailer doesn't do much for me either. Looks like another movie riding on the coattails of The Raid: Redemption. I think if rather watch The Raid again than Extraction.

So, I'm a big kung fu movie fan. In my experience, any kung fu movies made in Hollywood or the "west" suck!!!!!! I only like Chinese kung fu movies, especially Shaw Brothers...

You reminded of that new Holloywood movie called The Grand Master coming out. In no way does it look better than the most recent Ip Man movies already out with Donnie Yen. I love the old school flicks too, but really enjoying the resurgence and great production quality of these new Hong Kong/Chinese movies the last 6+ years or so.

I blame The Wachowskis for that, and by extension Keanu Reeves.

I really like the new kung fu movies that come out of China. The Chinese know how to make them without being silly. Hollywood has never been able to do that. I also like to watch the Chinese "soap opera" type series that come out of Hong Kong, even though I can't understand the language. My wife thinks I'm crazy...

The only "western" movie I liked was Warner Brothers Enter the Dragon...but only because this was done in Hong Kong by a Chinese production crew. I also prefer period pieces, and really hate modern day settings. No guns in my kung fu movies!!!!

Wow, that was a bit belligerent...sometimes I get too worked up about trivial things:slap:

It's an Insonesian martial arts flick that heavily influenced Dredd.

As an Insonesian myself, I highly recommend The Raid.

Also, check out Merantau.

Personally, I found Merantau lacking, except for the elevator fight scene. I'm ready for The Raid 2.
