Hey, folks.

New sheriff, new guidelines. I suggest reading these, and we'll all get along fine.

1. Keep it generally civil: I'm going to give it to you straight: I'm blunt. I'm not going to sugarcoat things in order to spare your feelings. You're a writer, and you're on the internet. You need to grow a thicker skin. However, that doesn't mean we should go out of our way to be intentionally cruel to each other. We're all different, and because this is the internet, some things may be taken differently by different people. That's bound to happen. Just try to keep it at a dull roar.

2. No inappropriate material: That means no porn, or overuse of graphic language. Kids wander in from time to time, and they don't need to see that. I'll delete it in a heartbeat.

3. Length of scripts: Please do not post scripts longer than 11 pages at once. You want to have your script commented on, then you're better off posting shorter pieces. They don't have to be complete. I'd say enough for a single scene (around 5 pages). More people will comment if they don't have to slog through overlong pieces.

4. Rapid-fire posting: Give your scripts at least a full 24 hours to marinate before posting another. Give people time to read and respond, as well as give other people a chance to post their scripts.

5. Craft discussions: I like 'em. I love 'em. I want more of 'em. Let's just not have too many different discussions opened up by the same poster.

6. Activities: I like those, too. Right now, anyone can post any single activity they wish. Just do me a favor and give it an [Activity] tag in the title. Let it run its course before posting another. This will be subject to change.

7. Trying to out-think me: It's easily done. There are loopholes. Some people just don't read. I don't care. If I feel it's outside the intent or spirit of these simple guidelines or the site, I'll delete it, either by thread or by individual post.

That's it. Let's have some fun!
