I'd like to see them attempt at salvaging any minor sense of the word continuity at this point...but that's nigh impossible without time travel, a spatula, led zepplin II, and joss whedon...
Otherwise they're just working to line Hugh Jackmans pockets, and who cares about story or continuity...
Unless this is an attempt to refine the x franchise to its most viable component...being wolverine, and let the rest of mutant kind be damned. But I dont think he's stand alone like spider man (he can be, but he works so much better in a team environment as a foil to the uptight hardass leadership type). He needs other strong personalities to work with to bring out his unique personality.
