To quote South Park, "Simpsons did it."

It's actually seven prequel mini-series and a back-up story as well.

That's hilarious that Simpsons did it!

Wish they'd let new ideas in instead of doing this, but I am excited to see Lee Bermejo drawing Rorshach, Jae Lee drawing Ozimandius, and Adam & Joe Kubert on Nite Owl!

I abhor the concept, but I have to admit that a couple of those creative teams have me intrigued. Well, Darwyn Cooke has me intrigued anyway. If anyone other than Moore and Gibbons is qualified to carry on any kind of Watchmen story, it's him. Straczynski on Nite Owl makes no freakin' sense. Azzarello on Rorschach... kind of makes sense.

Still, I'm not sure my interest in this extends beyond the "train wreck" variety at this point.

Why don't they just get a good English writer like Morrison or James Robinson a good artist and do a story based on the old Charlton characters Moore could not not use when he originally came up with the concept.Do they even exist in the new DCU anyway?

Sounds just as crappy as the Kingdom Come sequel. Bad idea all round, typical of DC Comics these days.

Just Captain Atom.

IIRC, we're talking about Captain Atom, The Question, Blue Beetle, etc. ... So at least a few exist in SOME capacity, no?

What's funny is that since DC owns Wildstorm(?), they could have made a Watchmenesque "sequel" with them. :)

Newsarama has a whole article on my suggestion on their website.
