Hi everyone,
Add me to the list of writers looking for an artist to complete a pitch. I've got an idea for a miniseries about spies, and I need someone to team up with who can create the 5 pages of B&W, lettered art needed for the submission.
Ideally, the artist's style would be ever-so-slightly cartoony and not super photorealistic. I'd love to work with someone who has a distinctive style, instead of someone who draws in the generic, non-threatening DC Comics house style. But I'm flexible. Clear storytelling is clear storytelling. My series has a lot of teenagers in it, so if you can draw young characters, all the better. It also has a lot of talking heads with some bursts of action, so the ability to make conversation scenes dynamic is also great.
I have the script to the first issue completed, as well as the outline for the rest. I'm a professional writer. I work as a journalist by day, and I've had two books published...though I've never written a comic book.
This gig pays $250 with obviously the potential for more if the book is picked up. If you're interested, please email samples of your work and a resume to kidkaos73@hotmail.com. I'd love to see consecutive story pages, as opposed to pin ups. I'm looking to work with someone who is responsible, meets deadlines and takes this seriously.
Thanks,
Reed
