Greetings! My name is Searnold. I'm a Los Angeles based comic book writer who's been self-publishing my work for about 3 years now. You can check out my website if you want to know more about me: http://www.SuperSearnold.com.
Onto the important stuff. I'm looking to adapt one of my comic book series into a webcomic. The series is called “Behind the Hero.” It's a superhero parody done in a cartoony mocumentary style. The first issue can be found here: http://www.SuperSearnold.com/BehindTheHero01.php (http://www.SuperSearnold.com/BehindTheHero01.php)
I want to do a web comic set in the “Behind the Hero” universe, but not necessarily in the same mocumentary format as the actual comic. My goal is to post 3 strips a week for a very long time, but let's do things in small steps. I'm starting by asking for 10 full-color strips, for which I will be paying $10 each, for a total of $100. After that, I'm going to put up a Kickstarter campaign in an attempt to raise the $1,560 it would cost to pay you to produce a full year's worth of strips (156).
So this job is for 10 strips, at $10 each, for $100 total. But I need it to come with an agreement that if the Kickstarter campaign is successful, you're willing to do another 156 strips at $10 each, for a total of $1,560.
If you can't do your own colors, I can still pay you $5 per strip for B&W (because I'd need the other $5 per strip to pay a colorist.)
If you'd like to get an idea of how I write, you can download the script for the first 10 strips here: http://www.SuperSearnold.com/Scripts/BehindTheHeroWebcomicSample.pdf (http://www.SuperSearnold.com/Scripts/BehindTheHeroWebcomicSample.pdf)
I think that's everything. If you're interested, please e-mail a sample of your work to SuperSearnold@yahoo.com. Links preferred, but not necessary. And of course feel free to e-mail me with any questions. I look forward to seeing your work!
