That's pretty awesome, Cat! You know, after all these years and all the artists I've met, you'd think I'd have got a nice sketchbook of my own going.

Cary, don't take this wrong, but I don't like this drawing at all. Technically it may be completely correct but aesthetically it's too weird looking for me to like it.

Crits are always welcome, brother! What was it, that back leg? Or... just the whole thing?

I can just imagine what the head looks like from a side view. It would just look way too weird. If there was more of a down view of his face and more head top it could look right but where his head is actually placed is just off.

Love the texture and the lighting on this one, Cary. But I do agree with Roy about the head. The neck muscles in the back are too short for the neck to be jutting down/forward and the head to still be turned up that far. If his head was further up in the composition, I could see him tilting his head up that far, but as is, his neck is sort of "double jointed" (pointing down/forward from the body, but back up from the jaw/base of the skull area).

I've been a fan of you work for a long time, and your Captain America looks amazing!!!

I had some free time this morning, so I did a color version. I hope you like it.

Great work, love the textures and shading. Really captured the moment, I can almost hear the bullets whizzing by and the shells going off in the background.

yeah, I totally feel you both on this. I felt it myself as I was drawing it, but... eh, you know how it goes :) Thanks for the crits!

Hey, Thanks, PMarshall! I was going to actually add bullets and warplanes and everything but opted to keep it simple!
