Just wanted to say that I was really impressed with back up story Johns wrote in Green Lantern #55 (I think that's right -the one with Lobo on the cover). One of my absolute favorite Geoff Johns story I've read so far. Never knew the phrase 'I good kitty' couuld have such an emotional impact? Was wondering what anyone else thought about it.

I loved it! To be honest it had more emotional impact than anything else in blackest night/ brightest day (outside of Hawkman and Girl getting killed in issue #1). I think it had something to do with people being desensitized to violence toward other people, but not quite so for animals. More Dex Starr!!

is the name Dex Starr? My mistake. Yeah, interesting point. I think any pet owner would be moved by the devotion of that lil' guy.

It was a bit hammy and cliche. But overall, Dex-Starr is the best thing to come out of Blackest Night.
