Any fan of Kubert Sr's work, I'm sure will enjoy, if not love, his latest graphic novel: 'Dong Xoai, Vietnam, 1965'. 'Dong Xoai' recalls the best elements of both: 'Sgt. Rock' and: 'Tales of the Green Beret', but is based on real-life events during the Vietnam war. Here's a link to a publisher's weekly review of it:

As with 'Yossel' from a few years back, it's done entirely in pencil. A link to a USA Today article has some good shots from it. Nice work. I've got a copy and it's great-looking, to say the very least, and worth buying, IMO. Check it out:

It's sitting in my pull box with dozens of other HC and TPBs that I'm buying slowly over time.

This is a definite purchase. Where others love their flights and tights, and others love their Vertigo, it's all about the war comics for me.

^ Me too. ^ Now, if we could just get Russ Heath to do a similar GN. :)
