Hey all. I've been trying to get into more flash fiction/short stories, and was wondering if any of you have gone through the process of getting your flash fiction and/or short stories published, and if so, if you'd like to elaborate on the process. I found a whole list of publishers here (http://www.topicsites.com/publishers/short-story.htm) that I'll end up looking into at some point. If you've had your stories published, did you have any dealings with any of these companies?

Thanks for your help.

Pretty much for me (got one in Pulp Empire #1 available now on Lulu.com) and it was basically send, wait, they accepted it, and waiting 'til it came out.

Here's a a much better site

Duotrope (http://www.duotrope.com/)

You can get lists by genre, payscale, or other categories. They also list guidlines and when the publishers accept submissions and how picky they are.
