I'm in a bit of a rut, and I need some new comics to read.

I prefer my comics in trade format so I can read a whole story all at once.

If you've picked up and trades or GNs recently that you really enjoyed, let me know what they were so I can check 'em out.

Any genre will do.

Thanks gang.

I cant recomend Mignolia's BPRD enough either.

If you want a Superhero fix:

Astro City by Busiek
(His Shock Rockets and Arrowsmithe books were good as well)
Wonder Woman by George Perez Vol #1-4
Legion of Three Worlds by Johns and Perez
Shazam and the Monster Society of Evil by Jeff Smith
Ronin by Frank Miller

I'll come up w/ some more later...

Thanks for the recommendations.

I read a lot of stuff in trade format. My regular reading consists of:

All of Warren Ellis's Avatar work
Scalped
DMZ
Northlanders
Criminal
The Boys
Ex Machina
Irredeemable

I'm a big fan of a lot of stuff that's finished now:
100 Bullets
Transmetropolitan
Y: The Last Man
The Invisibles
Preacher
Punisher MAX (the Garth Ennis run)
Daredevil (the Bendis run)
The Losers
Planetary

I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now. But keep the suggestions coming! I'm gearing up for Wizard World Toronto, and have a pretty big list of stuff to pick up, but there's always room for more....

I recommend New Avengers, start out with Breakout, and work your way up. They are pretty fantastic in trade format. I would even go as far to recommend Avengers: Disassembled and House Of M. By reading all of this in trade, you actually get the whole picture of what Bendis was trying to achieve with disassembling the team, and building them back up.

PIMPZILLA

100 Bullets
Criminal
The Ruck/Williams III run on Detective Comics when that comes out.
The Complete Essex County
Sandman
Preacher
JOKER
The Nightly News

and I'll second the aforementioned:
Greek Street vol. 1
Chew vol. 1
and FreakAngels (Which is online, the complete thing, so if you want to read that for free...)

Aka Goldfish. I'd recommend Jinx, but I can't finish it for some reason. Powers Volume One recently got a definitive edition collection.

Does anyone know if there's a planned TPB of Vertigo's Codename: Knockout coming out? I thought I heard that, but can't find evidence to support it.

I missed the first few issues of it, but always loved that series.

I just read Human Target, the first volume, which collects the mini-series that came out around 1999, and then the graphic novel "Final Cut".

I surprised in that I expected it to be decent, but not as wonderfully good as it was. Especially "Final Cut". Wow, a cool modern day noir story.

Peter Milligan is a great writer, and this was one of his best that I've read.

The art was great in both but again, "Final Cut" was extra-special.

BTW, if you've seen the show, it is very different from the comic from what I can tell.

Crossed
Pride of Baghdad
Gearhead
Camilla D'Errico's Burn

I'd name more but most of my favorites have already been mentioned.

Milligan's Human Target is incredible. The new Human Target series...not so much.

Erm, you're just looking for comics at random? If you can tell me what you're into I could make some solid recommendations, rather than bringing up some titles I like, off the top of my head.

Here's one of my personal favorite graphic novels I've read recently:The Walking Man (http://1foe.com/the-walking-man/)

You may also want to check out Marvel Zombies (http://1foe.com/marvel-zombies/) if you haven't already. It's fun stuff for all kinds of readers!
