Well, I have to eat my words in saying that NXT is just a repackaged ECW. Evidently it's something completely different, but what I have no idea.

I generally stay away from spoiler sites, so does anyone have any background on what this show is going to be like? I heard the word "reality TV" on ECW this week. So does this mean it's some hybrid of Tough Enough and storylined wrestling?

there taking 8 guys from FCW and giving them a mentor each. i think each show will have two rookies wrestling at the end.

i cant copy and paste all the wrestlers. but i know the miz is mentoring brian danielson. which is funny cause danielson be in the business longer then miz. but maybe miz mic skills will rub off on danielson.

I'm glad to see NXT is more of a wrestling show than a reality show.

It looks like they are going to focus the show around Daniel Bryan, who has all the experience in the world but is being told to put someone like the Miz on a pedestal. His match with Jericho was good.

I didn't think they could make me hate Michael Cole anymore, but his new "if it's not WWE, it's wrestling in high schools" anti-internet stance makes me despise him. Bravo.

Even Josh Matthews picked up his commentating game. I've always thought he was a no personality dullard. Matt Striker had to carry every ECW match and when he left for Smackdown, the matches might as well been silent. Now with indy hating Cole as his partner, it just sounds like he has something to fight for.

They experimented with some new camera angles, whic some could use some work, like the pan & scan camera. It moves too slow and is going to miss action in a fast pace match.

Eh, I think the Michael Cole/Josh Matthews thing was part of the act. They were pitted against each other, Matthews coming from a background of indie wrestling and Tough Enough, and Michael the WWE veteran. I thought their argumentative banter was well done. I hate Cole as much as the next guy, but I do appreciate that he has kind of embraced that reaction and is playing to it a bit.

The show itself is interesting, and I like that we're seeing some wrestling. I was a fan of Tough Enough, but I guess it ran its course. Some of the young bucks here are promising and interesting. I agree with Cole and Miz, though, that while Daniel Bryan seems to have some skills, his personality and image are completely lacking. He doesn't have that star quality.

I liked Jennifer Hudson's fiance even if he did play that arrogance up a bit much. He seemed to be the most solid and well rounded of the ones they showed in my opinion.

I watched the first episode and to be honest, Daniel Bryan is going to come out of this as the biggest surprise. I have seen his work in ROH and he can just flat plain out wrestle circles around the Miz or probably anyone else on the current WWE roster, with the exceptions of HBK, HHH, and the Undertaker. He was originally trained by HBK at his school in Texas and I think he did have a tryout for the WWE a few years ago, but wasn't ready at the time. I predict that he'll turn on the Miz and we'll see him challenge him for the US belt at WM 26.

They're not going to put that in a Wrestlemania match this soon. I can't see that happening. Turning on Miz, he kind of has already done that, so that's not much of a prediction.

The guy may be able to wrestle, but he has no personality and no image. He's completely boring.

Bryan definately needs a makeover. He needs to get rid of the special olympics haircut and granny panties shorts. And perhaps tune down the dorkiness and tune up the intensity.

He already has all the tools to be great in the ring, but Charlie Haas was really good in the ring too.

saw this the other night. Geez, i thought everyone's balls were gonna pop out. Everybody in WWE wears a damn speedo, they should adopt the 'hot pants' more often. or full on tights with kick-ass designs like Edge used to wear.

That gumby-haired guy with the spray tan was unbearable. I do wanna see more of Bryan Danielson and the other kid from Africa? They seem very promising.
