Just read #1.

Its a good book. I know a lot of you want to hate Bendis for what he's done to the Avengers franchise but Spiderwoman #1 is a good book. It takes a lot of cool elements and throws them together and makes it something different.

I liked it a lot. Bendis handles these types of characters very well, but it's the Alex Maleev art that sold me on this. Only thing I didn't like were some of the flashback panels that showed art from the Luna Bros. Spider-Woman origin book. It felt kind of cheap to me, especially when compared to Maleev's incredible artwork.

Great read.
I've always said this is where Bendis excels...
Small casts, noir-like feel, low-key on the action and the sci-fi.

It's when the book demands big casts with diverse voices, heavy action and sci-fi (Avengers) is where I don't feel he knocks it out of the park the way the other 80,000 people each month that buys the book feel that he does.
