It stands out beautifully. You have done a great job of shadows and your planets and rubble. Nice inking, you've brought a solemn mood to your finished piece.

Sweet - nice lines on the cape.

Awesome as always Alex. Love how the drapery of the cape pops against the planet textures and the classic crosshatching on the space gas. Sweet.

Thank you everyone who stopped by to leave a comment, much appreciated :)
I really got "into" doing the background this time around. A friend of mine worked as a background assistant with Neal Adams back in the 80's and he told me how careful he always was with the space backgrounds...certain consistency ink for white splatter on black background, other consistency of black ink for splattering on white backgrounds. Being very careful on how to render planets and other floating objects...it all sounded real cool.
I was also inspired by looking at a recent Al Williamson "Flash Gordon" book. Man, what attention to backgrounds!!!
Anyhow, this was real fun and I am glad it is getting good response. Thank you.
