The New York Times revealed details on IMAGE UNITED San Diego Comic Con exclusive preview book and mini-series November release date!
IMAGE UNITED, the upcoming crossover reuniting six of the Image founders in one mini-series, was the subject of a full page article in this Sunday's New York Times entitled ‘Reunited and It Feels So Super’ with quotes from each of the participating founders and writer Robert Kirkman, revealing the November release date and details of the San Diego Comic Con exclusive preview book!

"IMAGE UNITED is akin to a Beatles reunion," The New York Times wrote. "This six-issue comic-book series, which will be previewed at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Wednesday, brings together six of the seven founders of Image Comics— a group of prominent illustrators who defected from Marvel in 1992 to start their own publishing company— as well as some of the most successful characters they have created or developed there.”

IMAGE UNITED PREVIEW contains the fully colored and lettered first half of IMAGE UNITED #1, featuring art from all six of the participating Image Comics founders including Erik Larsen, Rob Liefeld, Todd McFarlane, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri and Jim Valentino. It also includes interviews with Kirkman, Image Publisher Eric Stephenson and Atomic Comics owner Mike Malve, who held the signing where IMAGE UNITED was first conceived, and an all-new cover by all six artists.

While the IMAGE UNITED PREVIEW will be available beginning on San Diego Comic Con’s Preview Night on Wednesday, July 22nd it will also be the subject of a one-time IMAGE UNITED signing special event, including all six artists and Kirkman on Saturday, July 25th from 10:00-11:30 AM at Image Comics booth, #2729. In addition, further details about the upcoming crossover will only be revealed during Image Comics Show on Friday, July 25th from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM in room 5AB.

IMAGE UNITED PREVIEW, a limited edition 20-page full color comic book , will only be available at this week's San Diego Comic Con International at Image Comics booth #2729.

Looks nice though. I hope it readable for a guy who only reads spawn invincible and savage dragon.

It would have been cooler if Lee could participate.

Jim Lee would have been the icing on the cake for this book.

I'm curious who the artist is on Witchblade because that doesn't look like Silvestri but I could be wrong.

I think it's Silvestri, but the coloring (especially of the nose) is different that the typical Tow Cow colors.

I'm willing to pay 10 for the book if someone can get it for me. ;)

Looking forward to how it will start off.

Someone on eBay is selling a single copy for $20 + $5 S&H.

Probably means it was a $5 book.
