So I just picked up a copy of Essential Moon Knight vol.1 by Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz. It's pretty generic 80s stuff, but it's fascinating watching the transformation of Sienkiewicz's art from more or less standard drawing to the funky, innovative style he has now.

And it was cheap.

Confession time- I have the original issues.

You're right about Sienkiewicz's art. Some of Frank Millers covers are pretty eye catching too.

The original Sienkiewicz run is the only run worth keeping. I wish they would reprint it in a full color format. The latter issues were drawn by Kevin Nowlan. Where else can you see talent bloom like that.

The original Moon Knight stuff was awesome.

That is all that needs to be said on this subject.

Those early MK issues were pure gold. Hardly generic stuff (as Mark called it). Superb storytelling the way the way comics used to be. Great talent on a great book. I wish I still had those issues.

Picked it up few months ago, enjoyed it a lot. MK's multiple personalities always fascinated me. Hope to see the 1986 re-launch in an Essential soon.

Has the new series been canceled yet? It was good, but seemed to only beat the psychopath drum over and over. Not sure that's an appealing way to go!

Stop it you! And not only did I have to spend a bloody fortune, I had to wait about 8 months since Halo part 3. Has the Atlantic grown or something?

still 3,50 if I I hadn't spendt it in the comic shop it would be in the pub. So perhaos no loss really.
