Wow, some pretty cool stuff there...it's different, but thats what makes it eye catching. What can you tell us about this project?

Two things I see that maybe could be changed but don't need to be. The smoke from the spliff needs to look more smokey. As it is it looks like a ribbon or something. The reveal of the Axe wielding butcher could have been more intense if the POV was more worms eye and slightly straight on so he is towering over the couple. with the axe dripping blood down onto the camera. Minor crap. I really like this. It's got a Vaughn Bode and Arthur Suydam feel to it.

I like these pages a lot. Great backgrounds. Textures are awesome and I to would like to see the pages inked. I love the heart exploding with the eye ball.
Great Job.

Really intersting style. I like it.
I would also like to see this inked. I feel like the inker would have a lot of choices to make and could either make it awesome or screw it all up.

Boy-o-boy, I’m not sure what the proper etiquette is here at the Digital-Web to respond to all this great feedback…

First let me say, hey, thanks, you are all most kind for offering your thoughts.

About the project:

---well, I guess, I was looking for a story and/or pages to draw. I came across a listing for an Indy horror movie, with a comic book tie-in. The director liked the samples that I had sent him, and he got the screen writer to come up with a short 3-page story for me called "Hate Crime".

I don’t know if it’s appropriate to mention names or the production here, but that’s what these pages are about.

I also think he wants them inked which is not my main focus, right now. I am still trying to learn how to draw. So that’s why I am here, asking for your feedback.

Again, thank you all for the warm welcome and encouragement.

Happy Comic Book Day!

Hi,

The decision to ink the Hate Crime pages has not been made yet, but I will post them when they're finally inked.

Also, looking through at all the very talented people here at the Digital–web, a continuation of sample pages seems appropriate and ok. Please let me know if otherwise. Thanks.
