Well, the story was great, the art was un-fucking-real, but I don't know for sure if this series achieved what Warren Ellis wanted it to. It was a good book, full of the smart/insane ideas Ellis is famous for, and Juan Jose Ryp is just phenomenal on art duties, but I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Some of the characters realized they'd been fucked up for way too long at the end, and decided to make things right, and then the other characters all died.
Now, I missed issue #3, so maybe I missed a chunk of important story, but again, I don't know how I feel about this. Maybe it'll make more sense when I read the TPB coming out in September.

Any Black Summer thoughts?
