View Full Version : My Transformers: Mosaic page

Since I bought my first comic (Transformers UK #4) I've wanted to draw one of my own, preferably published. This is as close as I've got so far. It's far from perfect, but I enjoyed it to a degree (some of it was a bitch).

Anyway, here it is for viewing.

Absolute awesome. I'd prefer this be published too, so I could hold a copy in my hands and hug it and squeeze it and call it George.

G - Thanks, and will do/have already done!

Mike - The working title for this page was 'George'! Not really, but that comment made me laugh! Thanks, man!

Great stuff. I especially love the colors. I wish I could use colors that well.

i'd be in for you on a 'transformers' book for sure. but i do think the top tier could 'read' clearer.

Well, I did another. I only illustrated and lettered this time.

This is so far from my comfort zone, and I can see a million and one things wrong with it, from the ground up. Ah, well. I may as well show you guys anyway, since it's been posted elsewhere already.

Tear it up.

I like the first one a lot better than the second one. The first one had an awesome look to it, and the shapes and curves were better defined. In the second image, the linework just really kills the colors in the image.

I don't know why you changed the style, but the style you used in the first image blew me away!

I totally agree. I just got bored of always illustrating in the same way, but it might have been wiser to experiment on something other than this. Thanks for the comment!

Beautiful style. Reminds me of Kaare Andrews run on Ultimate X-men

That's the whole thing!
Man, I could just picture the free fall and the jetfire rescue at the end. Oh Well, great art and storytelling. I guess I wish there was more :D

Thanks for the comments, guys.

I forgot, I coloured this one, too. Happier with this than the Hot Rod story.

I LOVE the first page! You did a great job on all of them, but that first one has killer feeling and originality to it. My son is a huge Transformers fan, and that is something I know he's love to look at.

Go to IDW and tell them to get you published! They have a lot of Transformers books!

Now make more for me to look at! :har:
