So, I've learned my lesson about re-imagine. I guess you can alter minor things and don't have to rework the whole character, like I've been thinking. So I can like, just change her boots and thats re-imagined right?

Hi Guys here is my first posting in the Digital Drawoff! Taken using my mobile phone and knocked up today at work using pencil and pens, need to brush ink the black areas a bit better and will try to scan it before the deadline!! Apologies for the quality and also for the free hand bike shapes and things lol Only had a ruler and my circle template on me!! Was a very quiet morning today! Not too sure about her right foot either now I look at it properly but not bad for a two hour sketch and ink job!!

DJ, I am never knocked over by your stuff, but what really gets to me is the simplicity and consistency. You take stuff and just really give it life. Congrats man this piece is really cool. :)

Hey all,

Here is my Black Canary in pencil. I am going to focus more on penciling as thats what I think I do best. Although, If I have time I will try to color this over the pencils. I don't ink so it will be colored over the pencils... unless someone wants to take a whack at putting some inks on it... or even colors. Just let me know and I will send you a copy.

Ok so I couldn't resist and colored it real quick... I never really like the way it comes out over my pencils. Anyone have any advice on how to do it better and make it look like actual inks without actually inking it?

Here's my re-imagining entry for Black Canary. Wish I could color this.... but I can't, I'm no colorist. But I was able to put some inks on the entry this week.

Those things around her shoulder blades area are speakers. Because of them this Black Canary can manually adjust frequencies of her canary cry to a lower level, or to a much higher level possibly enabling her to knock over buildings. Yea, it's silly. :laugh:

oh man, I know whatcha mean. redesigning not a prob, but POSES, is what really confounds me. Especially when a character is just standing around to just have a look.
