You think having these two meet would be interesting?
Like say Brimstone, being who they are, wants the Council that Eve regrettably works for taken out because they believe that a Council of monsters has the potential of becoming something similar to Kagan's party and sends their dhampir, Rayne, to take them out, although with difficulties since she's only with them to find her father's remaining bastard children out of revenge, but agrees in case this Council knows their whereabouts.
As you can speculate, Rayne ends up fighting Eve, and you could like say that Eve once met and fought Mynce, Rayne's dhampir mentor, on a mission for the council a little before WW2 started who didn't like a supernatural being like Mynce working with humans like Brimstone and needed to be taken care of which failed, while of coarse Rayne thinks, if it's a vampire, then strike it down, and thinks it like poetic justice since Eve is now the prey since Rayne read a report of that meeting that happened over 60 years ago.
Eve is impressed by Rayne's skills and power, also she recalls that dhampirs have less weakness then vampires and could take a vampire one on one, as well as having been used to hunt vampires for centuries as if in a way they were the undead's natural predator based on irony, since they're half-human and humans usually were considered a vampire's source of food.
The fight is of coarse intense and superhuman and ends with failure from both parties where Rayne and Eve are still enemies where Rayne gives "colorful" words to Eve since I think readers would want the fight to go uninterrupted without a third party enemy to make them join forces. Also, Eve has "colorful" words for the Council, in secret of coarse and to herself, for the crap they always put her in.
In case you don't know who Eve is, here's a link.
