Some times we get caught up with negativity so let's have a thread about comics that you like. No negativity... just a simple statement of a comic series that is currently available that you like and why...

I like Savage Dragon because it's mindless fun by a creator that love his character.

I like Amazing Spider-Girl because it's the one comic that I can share with any one and they enjoy it. Although, I admit I only read it in TPB.

I'm enjoying Booster Gold because I like the character development on Booster.

I like Perez and Waid on Brave and the Bold because it's Perez and Waid on a magic romp through the DC Universe.

I enjoy Conan because he's Conan and Truman, Busiek and Mignola have given us a good stories featuring Conan.

I enjoy Hellboy because Mignola is a genius. I've had the upcoming HCs on my pull list since they were announced!

I think Archaia Studios Press is one of the best small publishers and I enjoy reading almost their entire line. Right now The Long Count and the Engineer are on my must read first pile.

SO where is your love?

Hellboy is definitely one of my favorites.

Usagi Yojimbo is always a quality read and Stan Sakai is a marvelous artist.

Captain America and Iron Fist are both looked forward to each month.

This might be a strange one but the Babe the Blue Ox sequences in Jack of Fables crack me up.

That's all off the top of my head. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

I like Walking Dead because I love the zombie genre and Kirkman is writing a very gripping story about survival in a world full of the living dead.

I like Moon Knight because I've always liked him and I think the grim and gritty tone fits him. I just wish they played with the split personalities a little more.

I like Immortal Iron Fist because its well written and I can (sort of) get my Luke Cage/Danny Rand fix here.

I like Captain America because the storyline is very much like a long, intriguing move chock full of espionage and foul play.

I like Amazing Spider-Man because, despite all of the shit involved with 'One More Day', I've loved Spidey since I was about 7 or 8 and I can always find something to enjoy about a Spider-Man comic, even if its just the pictures.

I like Amazing Spider-Girl because it has an old-school feel in both the writing and art.

I like Fist of Justice because I write it.

I enjoy...

Fear Agent- Because it's a fun sci-fi adventure comic. The comicbook format is the perfect vehicle for stories like this.

Action Comics(858 +)- Because Gary Frank's art is growing on me and the story has a lot of characters and is just good comicbook fun.

The Twelve- Its new , but I love it when old forgotten characters are revived. The campy off the wall'ness of the group is going to make this a fun read.

Hellboy- B/C well...who doesn't love Hellboy.

All Star Superman-For the subtle genius of Frank Quitely's art. The stories are nice in their own off the wall way. Not your usual superhero book.

Teen Titans Year One-For it's up to date take on the Titans, and some of the smoothest art I've ever scene by Kessel.

Marvel comics in general...
The Hulk- because he smashes things.
Spiderman- b/c I love his suit, and he has the coolest rogues gallery,2nd to only batman.
The FF- b/c of their cool abilities
Xmen-b/c its a comicbook soap opera.
Thor-b/c he's a god and has a big hammer...that smashes things. And Olivier Coipiel is a badass.

I'm reading the Strangers in Paradise TPBs right now (first time) and I'm enjoying them because it's sweet and funny and tragic.

Captain America because it's just awesome what Bru's doing with the characters and the book.

Immortal Iron Fist becuase it's action packed and has a lot of sci-fi, mystical, and kung fu elements.

Daredevil because it's so grim n gritty, and feels full of hopelessness.

The Boys, because, well, it's Garth Ennis.

Invincible 'cause it's the best superhero comic in the universe :D

The Walking Dead because it's full of awesome characterization.

The Boys: mostly because it's one of the only books I read that actually comes out monthly, but also because it's ugly and violent and funny.

Black Summer: not a very reliable schedule, but a hell of an awesome read. Warren Ellis does superheroics like no other.

Desolation Jones: again, not a reliable schedule, but brimming with insane ideas on each page. Could become Warren Ellis's masterwork if handled properly.

Y: The Last Man: I only read it in TPB, and I know it's finished or close to being finished, but it's an incredibly funny, moving book.

Daredevil: I'm really enjoying the Brubaker/Lark run.

I don't collect Savage Dragon, but every time I pick one up on a whim, it still cracks me up and I enjoy it. I think it is because Larson loves doing it so much.

I like PROOF cause it's just all arounf fun, story, art and ideas...

I like Powers cause I have never been disappointed, with it, not once...

Started Infinate Horizon, great story and concept, can't wait for more

Tried to do Ultimates three as a guilty pleasure... But I picked up the preview of Iron and the Maiden and I am really looking forward to that experience.

Reading all kinds of idependent stuff, cause none of it is tied down, bogged down or beat up by it's past.

Invincible: because you have no clue what will happen issue to issue and it's fun read.

Spider-girl: I've just been getting into this comic but from everyone who reads it seem to love it. That and since it's in it's own universe others don't seem to touch it and Defalco gets to tell the stories he wants to.

Ultimate Spider-man: It was one of the comics that got me interested in reading them, also Bendis writes a great peter parker as well has getting two of comics greatest artists currently working.

Green Lantern: it started slow but with the sinestro war it really picked up and found it's place as a comic. Johns doesn't seem to want to slow down and has already started the seeds for another awesome event with the black lanterns and has got me interested for awhile longer.

New Avengers: Spider-man, Wolverine, Hawkeye, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, and art by Lenin Yu need I say more.

Ex Machina: I read the TPB and this maybe one of the finest ones I've ever read, every issue is fantastic and the Tony Harris art is superb.

I donīt follow too much thatīs current, but...

I like Invincible for pretty much all the reasons everyone has said. Kirkman has a really, really good sense of timing, pacing, and a great ear for dialogue. After TPB 1, I thought it was good but not great, but then I borrowed the rest from a co-worker and just caught up in what is probably the most masterfully executed "fun" superhero book Iīve ever read.

I like Ex Machina because itīs something different with a great premise that made me want to read it as soon as it was explained to me. To my surprise, my favourite parts of the series are often where people are just sitting around talking about politics. And I donīt even care about politics that much.

I like Astro City because, like, Invincible, itīs a fun take on the superhero genre, but itīs also a different side of the same coin - more thoughtful, sometimes more edgey, showcasing the humanity of superpowered characters in a different way than Kirkman. Busiek has quickly become one of my all-time favourite superhero writers, if only because itīs plainly obvious that he loves them, and gets what makes them tick. And I like how he alternates between "done-in-ones" and longer arcs with AC, telling many different stories about the superheroes and mere mortals who populate the world heīs created. Truly great. And on a related note, props to Identity Crisis, which was amazing.

And I know itīs not exactly current, but... I liked 52 because it was big and sprawling and strange and genius and fun.

I just read Ultimate Galactus (?) and really enjoyed it. I though it was a wonderfully imagined 'reality' version of what might happen. As much as i tell people not to consider comics as movies on paper, this was a really well done summer blockbuster. on paper.

I really look forward to Brave and the Bold and Action Comics coming out every month right now.

I've been diggin' All-Star Superman as well.... I got the HC, though.... not the monthlies.

I've also been really happy with whats going on in GL and GL Corps... Guy Gardner becoming one of my new faves.

Flash, historically, has been my favorite, and i've been excited for the new Waid run (ha)-- which has been OK so far... but i'm waiting for it to pick up steam a little bit. (I thought his handling of Flash and fam was done really well in B&B... so i have no doubts he can do something good in the Flash title).

USAGI YOJIMBO: Because Stan Sakai is a storytelling Genius...

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD: for the same reason that ljamal says...

TEEN TITANS GO!: Because it always fun... and the art of Todd Nauck is great.

BATMAN/NIGHTWING/ROBIN: beacuse its the batman family even though they all have gone though some bad art and bad writers... and now Chuck Dixion is back on Robin woowhooooo

Desolation Jones - I'm a sucker for a good noir story that references Philip K Dick

The Boys - I like watch capes get the shit kicked out of them

All Star Superman - Just a good old fashioned Superman story

Brodie's Law - It's just fun watching someone have a power and not be able to control it

DMZ - Brian Wood isn't afraid to tackle the big issues

Vinyl Underground - A hipper version of Constantine

I'm like the only mo fo reading Infinity Inc. aren't I?

I know Peter Milligan isn't very popular because he doesn't love superheroes as much as some of you do but I thought I'd plug the book which is getting a new artist by the name of Pete Woods in April.
Some people say he influenced Grant Morrison

Also: is there no love for the new Ron Marz?

Who's in this incarnation of Infinity, Inc.? I liked Milligan on X-Statix. It looks to be getting time to maybe venture back into the shop.

It's all new characters except for Steel. Long term fans don't like it. I looked on wikipedia and it looks like Power Girl was in one of the early incarnations . No wonder they're upset.

Green Lantern - He (Hal) has always been one of my favorite super-hero characters and the stuff Johns has been doing with him the last few years is outstanding.

Black Summer - Crazy, violent Ellis fun

Iron Fist - This latest series is a mix of great artwork & writing mixed with fun pseudo-asian mythology.

All Star Superman - Finally, someone who really gets Superman.

Invincible - it's funny, there are certain titles I only pick up in TPB format, like this one. I've loved every page of this one.

Hellboy - Another fantastic title that I can't seem to buy in regular comic format, but I adore each TPB that comes out.

A few gems in my ever diminishing monthly pull list:

The Walking Dead: It's an excellent serial, and continually builds upon itself each and every month. It's like Lost, except with actual answers and zombies!

Ex-Machina: I've loved this book since day one, and wish a million others would discover this book. It's fantastically written, layering the superheroics, politics, and personal lives/drama all into one (surprisingly) cohesive story. Tony's gorgeous artwork doesn't hurt either, and the vastness of the title really gives him room to stretch.

Captain America: This is so different than anything any other Captain America writer has attempted. Gimmick or not, Brubaker is making one hell of a story out of Cap's death.

Immortal Iron Fist: Two words: Fat Cobra :p !

Green Lantern: just a fun, well written superhero book
The All New Atom: combines two of my favorite subjects, superheroes and physics
The Spirit: nobody can top Eisner, but Cooke did a damn good job
Justice Society: really good so far
Groo: Fun!

I am normally ALL FOR fresh takes on old concepts, but really, this is Infinity Inc in name only.

There should be at least ONE character with ties to the original.
