This is something a little different from my usually stuff, but I've been dabbling in digital painting and conceptual art and this was something that I came up with today.

For me, the cleavage is too distracting. And her hands are too small. Other than that, nice job.

Agree with the hands being too small. But I like the clevage. :har:
In all, this picture looks dreamy. Very nice......
You know what really turns me on is those vulcan ears !:w00t:
Great job on the painting.

There's nothing wrong with cleavage.
The eyes though... there's something about the distance between the eyes themselves and the brown ridge. It's a distance that shortens as you age, and so to see the distance so large on an older character is a bit off-putting.

The problem with the cleavage is that she's wearing a robe. There's no support for her boobs to look like that.

Cool! Thank you all for your comments. Doing completely digital drawings is still kinda new to me so this one wasn't bad for a first stab at it. I'm working on a painting of Seven of Nine atm.

Like I said, mind the gap. I wish I could find it again, but back when I was using Poser someone posted pictures of themselves from a ten year span and as she got older you could watch the gap shorten. I don't quite get the biology of it (your skull doesn't change, maybe just the soft tissue or something?) but it is apparent.

The fat that surrounds the eye and gives it's position in the eye socket deteriorates with age and causes these changes.
I'm no Trekkie, but I though high eyebrows were just part of the Vulcan look. Right?
Apotheases-
This is looking good so far. The major drawing error that hasn't been mentioned yet is that the ear is placed too far forward and is rotated too far forward; it's just a little off, but it was one of the first things I noticed when looking at the picture.
Overall it looks like you don't know where your light source is. That's something you should figure out at the drawing stage; it really makes things easier.
Another thing is that you have no cast shadows. For example, the highlights on her throat run all the way up under her chin; there should be a shadow cast across them by her head. Similarly, there should be shadows on her shoulders from the high cowl of her robe.
I hope this was helpful!

You're ruining what I'm feeling Newt.
 Sorry, J^2. Actually, I think if just the attachment of the ear to the face were shifted and rotated back a bit, that would do the trick. The main part of the ear can stay put.

All emotional feelings aside you're right the ear is too close to the front of the face.
I got caught up in the moment and didn't realize it till you mentioned it...
I'll clean my desk out tomorrow and hand in my two week notice.

well according to the star trek: enterprise timeline, vulcans can have boobs like that :p
if you disregard enterprise like most trekkies, then... yes... those are not vulcan boobs.

The background colours are too much like the foreground colours.
