Casting Call (Ghost Busters)

I have thought for a long time that a new ghost busters movie should come out.

Here's the plot: The ghost busters have lost funding and are ready to call it quits, when a young man comes in asking them to get rid of a ghost. They tell him they are closed and the man says he'll do it himself, "I'm not afraid of no ghost, just can't sleep at night from all the banging." Thus this is how a new beginning comes in.

Of course use the old guys. Add some new ones. The old guys play teacher to the newbs. Masi and Egon I thought would be a great pair.

The Leader: Vince Vaughn

The Scientist: Masi Oka

The Comic Relief: Dane Cook

The other guy: Owen Wilson

The Secretary: Sarah Silverman

I also thought David Spade, Ben Stiller, Chris Tucker, Will Smith, Jack Black, and Adam Sandler would all be good for a 3rd ghost busters movie.

It is not about like or dislike he has no draw power. His movies do not make enough money for him to be a bleep on the radar.

He's a hilarious stand up though.

The best sequels were the comics that followed the movies, they had good characterization, beautiful artwork and it was lettered by the guy running this place. :thumbs:

Plot: The Ghostbusters are having a hard time finding business in the ghost busting field. They are forced to shut down when a young man (Masi Oka) comes into the building asking for their help. The Ghostbusters tell him they are closed and can't help, but Masi says he hasn't been able to sleep for days. The ghostbusters refuse and Masi says, "I'm not afraid of ghosts, give me a pack and I'll do it myself."

15-20 minutes.

Masi captures the ghost and destroys his apartment and the Ghostbusters welcomed him to the team.

30-35 minutes

Vince Vaughn, is having a hard time as a cab driver when he wrecks into another car because he thought he saw a ghost. He loses his job and goes to the Ghostbusters to help him find answers. Ray explains everything about ghosts to Vince and Vince is hired to be a Ghostbuster.

Winston, who quit being a Ghostbuster works with Owen Wilson who doesn't stop talking about his ghost experiences. Winston suggests to Owen that he asks the Ghostbusters for work instead of working as a mailman. Owen walks in and asks for work and is hired. Sarah Silverman is the new secretary and keeps Owen waiting for his interview.

Masi being a "nerd" works closely with Egon to make new Proton packs that use less energy but are more effective.

35-50 minutes.

Masi, Owen, and Vince team up with Ray and Peter to investigate a haunting, they stop the ghost but find out that a demon is coming to destroy the Earth.

50-70 minutes.

Vince Vaughn fixes their car Ekto 1, and Orlando Jones comes in to tell Vince he has a ghost problem. Orlando who was Vince's friend at the cabby job takes Vince to where he saw the ghost. Vince being the only one available goes with Orlando to investigate and find a portal to the underworld. Vince tries to stop it but 100s of ghost come through the portal. Vince and Orlando come back to the station and Vince forces Orlando to help them.

70-90

Vince, Owen, Masi, and Orlando go to the Portal to shut it down while Egon, Ray, and Peter try to find a way to close it. Instead they fail and ghosts and demons starts pouring out of the portal. Finally, they close the portal but demons, ghosts, and monsters roam the streets of New York City. Egon, Ray, and Peter join with the new guys to capture the monsters and ghosts. They come across the evil king demon, thus begins the final battle.

90-110

After stopping the final demon they are back in business and stopping ghost as the New Ghost Busters.

110-120

Jack Black will be yelling at the ghosts, Ben Stiller will be doing a stupid dance and Chris Tucker will be loudly proclaiming in his signature girlish squeal 'niggawhatdafuckisgoinon!!?'

Orlando Jones will kill the movie faster than Dane Cook could.

The guy is a great comic actor, but he's cursed. He's never in a good movie. He got stuck in the Farrelly Brothers' worst movie.

Well, its hard to think of a comedic african american actor who wouldnt over shadow the other actors. If not Orlando then who...Bill Bellamy?

Am I the only one who thinks Sarah Silverman is no replacement for Annie Potts? In her prime she was cute and full of spunk. Sarah Silverman ... makes me want to puke.

I don't know enough about Dane Cook, except his horrible commercials on TBS.

I personally like Orlando. I think if he gets cast in the right roll, he'll do fine.
