My brother got a new CD in the week, he was quite excited and wanted to show me...

I said to him "I hope you got some sort of discount", no he replies then shows me whats inside the front booklet.
All it is is 7 pages of bright yellow with INVALID PHOTOSHOOT emblazoned across it.
I said to him I wouldn't pay for something like that for retail price if I get no damn pictures, but then he explained bands pull this shit all the time...

They plagarise...

In the case of KoRn, they've never printed the lyrics in any of their albums,
their latest album is named 'Untitled'.
In the case of 50 cent and Britney spears, they both have albums titled with their first names, which screams cop out to me.

I really don't care what political statements these musicians are trying to make, we're paying well over £10 in most places for their music to keep them in employment, when really it doesn't cost half that to produce a CD.
Never again do I wish to hear a song called 'untitled' or 'song 2' again either.

All I ask is we get a a picture on the cover and not some cheap cop out title, name it after one of the songs if you can't think of anything,
it doesn't even have to be a good picture either, so long as your band logo is on the front you're halfway there.

Rant over.

So, you're buying CDs for the title and cover art?

If you're paying more than £10 for a chart CD, it's only fair to expect the full package.

So in short, yes.

You should put out a real cd to show 'em how it's done!

Then stop people from downloading their music off the internet.

Try to find this on Limewire.

Artist: Korn
Album: Untitled
Track: Song 2

They wouldn't have to come up with generic names to protect their music if people would stop ripping them off...

Now, ya'll excuse me while I watch my new copy of The Simpsons Movie.

Is this really the fault of the puppets and not the puppet masters. The RIAA wants to sell the lyrics, which is why they are hardly in the jackets anymore.

Uhm...these are both considered iconic.

As far as lyrics...I've heard certain bands/singers *cough* Michael Stipe *cough* say they don't print lyrics to force a closer listening to the songs.

Stipe mumbles, dammit!

I do not approve of the practice of including a rather thick liner-notes booklet filled entirely with images, and a page or two of credits. That makes me mad.

Remember when LP's used to have a long rambling note on the back of the sleeve, from the singer, the record company, or some critic? Those were the days. Johnny Cash always had interesting notes on the back.
