I didn't do much celebrating (it's only my 23rd anyways, no milestone at all -- unless you count that I haven't been taken out by some random flying object or parked car yet).

A friend took me out to see The Kingdom on Friday night -- it was a pretty awesome movie. I enjoyed it, but had a run of bad luck once we got into the actual theatre.

There's 3 more matching bruises all the way up to the top of my head. After a Coke spilled all over us, I headed down the stairs to go out to concession -- slipped on the very last one and hit the edges of the stairs with my whole body. Broke my steel watch strap too (that's how hard lol). The employees got me ice later on when it started to hurt, but I was able to enjoy most of the movie.

When the movie was over, one of the people that had been sitting next to us tried to get money out of me for his wife's jacket, claiming I soaked it when the pop spilled and that she missed most of the movie (she actually had gone and sat down in front and I'd seen her when I got the ice, and the pop had barely gotten on her sleeve while my friend and I were absolutely soaked). When I refused, he tried to hit up my buddy. When he couldn't get money out of either of us, I guess he went to the theatre's service desk to complain. The guys sitting behind us couldn't believe his audacity at trying to pull that scam when everyone sitting there had seen not only the soda spill, but MY spill on the stairs after.

But the Kingdom was a very good movie :D

And here's a side note: It's not always a good thing to eat all your favorite foods on your birthday.

BBQ chicken pizza and chocolate fudge are not a good mix.

I believe you have to be 23 to fly a commercial airplane.

But I suppose we will have to wait for Newt to confirm that. :D

No... the stairs did. :laugh:

That's just the only mark on my back I can show XD I have another one on my lower shoulder plates, one on my left upper arm, and one on the back of my neck. One for each stair that I hit when I landed. They're getting more colourful today --- its all deep tissue bruising so it takes a while to come to the surface.
